Jambi – Ruas tol Bayung Lencir-Tempino (Baleno), yang merupakan bagian dari tol Betung-Jambi, resmi mulai beroperasi sejak Kamis, 17 Oktober 2024, dan langsung mencatat jumlah kendaraan yang signifikan melintasi tol tersebut. Menurut Branch Manager Ruas Tol Baleno, Hanung Hanindito, pada hari pertama, sebanyak 2.500 kendaraan tercatat melintasi jalan tol sepanjang 30 kilometer itu.
"Data yang kami miliki menunjukkan bahwa sejak dioperasikan pada pukul 07.00 WIB Kamis kemarin, hingga tadi malam tercatat ada 2.500 kendaraan yang melintas di ruas Bayung Lencir-Tempino," kata Hanung kepada awak media, Jumat (18/10).
Tol Baleno, yang baru saja diresmikan oleh Presiden Joko Widodo pada Rabu, 16 Oktober 2024, saat ini masih gratis untuk digunakan. Namun, meskipun tidak dikenakan tarif, para pengguna jalan tetap diwajibkan melakukan tapping kartu uang elektronik di gerbang tol sebagai bentuk validasi penggunaan.
Tol pertama di Jambi ini telah melewati proses Uji Laik Fungsi (ULF) dan mendapatkan Sertifikat Laik Operasi (SLO) pada 14 Oktober 2024, yang menegaskan bahwa tol Baleno layak digunakan oleh masyarakat umum. Dengan adanya tol ini, diharapkan arus lalu lintas antara Jambi dan wilayah sekitar dapat lebih lancar dan cepat.
Meskipun tarif tol masih belum diterapkan, Hanung mengingatkan seluruh pengguna jalan agar tetap mematuhi aturan berkendara di jalan tol. "Pengguna jalan diimbau untuk menjaga kecepatan minimum 60 km/jam dan maksimum 100 km/jam, serta tidak menggunakan bahu jalan kecuali dalam keadaan darurat," tambahnya.
Hutama Karya selaku pengelola tol juga membuka Call Centre Tol Bayung Lencir - Tempino di nomor 0821-8888-7710 untuk menampung keluhan atau laporan mengenai tindak kejahatan yang terjadi di ruas tol.
Terkait dengan batas waktu pemberlakuan tarif gratis, Hanung belum bisa memastikan kapan pengguna tol akan mulai dikenakan biaya. "Untuk informasi mengenai batas waktu tarif gratis dan tarif selanjutnya, kami masih menunggu keputusan lebih lanjut," pungkasnya.
Tol Baleno diharapkan dapat menjadi bagian penting dalam memperlancar konektivitas antarwilayah di Sumatera, khususnya Jambi, sekaligus mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi melalui peningkatan mobilitas logistik dan orang. (*)
