JAMBI – Kepala Dinas Perhubungan (Kadishub) Provinsi Jambi, Jhon Eka Powa, menegaskan bahwa sesuai dengan instruksi gubernur, truk pengangkut batubara masih dilarang beroperasi. Larangan ini diberlakukan untuk menjaga ketertiban lalu lintas dan menghindari dampak buruk dari operasional truk batubara di wilayah darat.
Eka Powa menyatakan bahwa pihaknya telah melakukan tindakan tegas terhadap angkutan batubara yang masih nekat beroperasi di jalur darat, dan menegaskan bahwa operasional tersebut bersifat ilegal.
"Kalau ada yang masih beroperasi lewat darat itu ilegal," tegas Eka, Senin (14/10/2024).
Instruksi ini merujuk pada Instruksi Gubernur Jambi Nomor 1 Tahun 2024, yang dengan jelas melarang aktivitas angkutan batubara melalui jalur darat, kecuali dari wilayah Kecamatan Sungai Gelam yang diperbolehkan melintas di Jalan Lingkar Timur.
Namun, bagi batubara yang diproduksi dari wilayah Kabupaten Batanghari dan Sarolangun, Eka menjelaskan bahwa transportasinya hanya diperbolehkan menggunakan jalur sungai. Akan tetapi, saat ini jalur sungai tidak dapat digunakan karena kondisi air yang sedang surut.
"Tapi untuk saat ini jalur sungai ditutup karena kondisi air surut," tambahnya.
Langkah ini merupakan bagian dari upaya Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi dalam mengatur aktivitas angkutan batubara yang selama ini menjadi salah satu isu utama terkait kemacetan dan kerusakan jalan di wilayah Jambi.(*)
